Terms & Booking Conditions
Last updated 23 September 2026
Acceptance
When you book, you will be asked to tick a box confirming that you accept these conditions. That tick is your acceptance of this contract, and it is recorded with the date, the time and the version of these conditions you agreed to.
By paying for your booking you are also accepting this contract.
The house
Wild Fae Coven sleeps two people in one double bedroom. It is not suitable for children: the stairs are steep and the garden is terraced.
The house is offered for holiday use only. It is not available as a permanent or long-term residence.
Length of stay
The minimum stay is one week. The maximum is one month (30 nights).
Booking
Send us an enquiry with your dates. We reply personally. If we can offer the dates, we confirm them and send a secure payment link.
Your booking is confirmed only when the full amount has been paid. Until then the dates are not held.
Payment
The full amount is payable by card before arrival.
Arrival and departure
Arrival and departure times are confirmed with your booking. Late departures may be charged.
Wood, electricity and cleaning
Electricity and linen are included in the price. Firewood and the end-of-stay cleaning are charged as shown when you book. Please use the stoves sensibly and never leave them burning unattended.
Winter access
The road to La Bourdette is asphalt and is ploughed. Under the French Loi Montagne, from 1 November to 31 March, vehicles must carry winter tyres, chains or snow socks. This is a legal requirement.
Care of the house
The house and its contents must be left as found. Breakages and damage should be reported before departure.
Smoking
No smoking inside the house.
Cancellation
More than 30 days before arrival: any amount paid is refunded in full.
30 days or fewer: the rent is retained, unless we are able to re-let the dates. If we can re-let them, the amount is refunded less any difference between the two rentals.
If we have to cancel your booking — for example because the house becomes uninhabitable — you are refunded in full.
We strongly recommend travel insurance, including cancellation cover.
The 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to most online purchases does not apply to accommodation booked for specific dates.
Liability
We are not liable for loss or damage to your personal belongings during your stay, or for interruptions outside our control (weather, road closures, power or network outages).
Governing law
These conditions are governed by French law.
