Two hundred years old, the Wild Fae Coven was raised in the age of shepherds, when the Vallée de Liers lived by its herds and its butter. It survived the wars that emptied these hamlets, the decades of silence that followed, and the 1970s wave of dreamers who brought the old stones back to life. Every wall has a memory; every winter, the wood stove writes a new one.
I'm an artist, and for ten years this house has been my home, my studio, and my fortress. For years I've poured love and sweat into every corner to make it the warm and cosy haven it is today. There's a magic in this place that never stops inspiring me.
A full enchanted kitchen
The heart of the coven has its own wood burner, a cooker, fridge, washing machine, manual coffee maker, toaster, and soup blender. Pans, pots, and dishes await — everything you need to brew a feast worthy of the other realm.
A rustic living room
The cosy living room has its own wood burner, sofas, a small table, books, and games for slow evenings. A big screen waits (no aerial—bring a laptop and a cable), but between the fire and the view, you may not need it.
Bathroom & toilette
A shower with good hot water and strong pressure — because even woodland creatures deserve to be warm and clean. Towels and a hairdryer provided.
One intimate bedroom
On this wood ceiling mountain room you will find: one comfy double bed dressed in linen with two pillows and a thick blanket — for the chilly mountain winters. Another blanket can be found in the closet if needed. A working desk, chair and a lamp. A small closet and a comfy chair to chill out. There's also an electric oil heater and a fan. Mind the steps going up and down — they are steep!
A mountain garden on the crown
A romantic table for two by the door, and a second table with two chairs on the far side — placed for watching the enchanted views and to get inspired. No stone BBQ, but there's a fire pit with a grill for open-flame cooking under the stars.
Fibre wi-fi
Fibre, very fast. Yes, even in a fae coven, the magic of the modern world has found its way up the mountain.
Warmth & Fire
Two wood stoves — one in the kitchen, one in the living room — crackle like friendly hearth spirits. An oil heater warms the bedroom, and the bathroom has its own. The thick old walls hold the heat well, but keep a heater on: even fae covens like a little help in the cold months! Please be responsible with handling fire and heaters! Don't overcharge the heaters with wood or leave them roaring with the air intakes open — a small ember from the wood can cause a fire. Don't leave them burning unattended. This is an old house: be responsible and respectful!
The Practical Spell
Check-in 12:00 · check-out 12:00 · pets allowed (familiars welcome) · no smoking · not suitable for small children, steep stairs and terraced garden!
Parking: normally space for at least one vehicle — though it depends on the neighbours (they were here first, and the fae respect that).
